The suspicion of infertility arises when the couple cannot get pregnant after a year of unprotected sex. Tests to determine infertility include a full medical history and physical examination of both partners. In the case of women, the basic tests are hormonal studies, ultrasound and hysterosalpingography, although more tests may be needed according to the patient’s profile. In the case of man, the quality of the sperm should be evaluated through a spermogram.
